Today was a new day.
The Thanksgiving weekend food fest is over and it was a really nice weekend. I got to see my sister Kate and hang out with my dad, which is always nice. It was a wonderful time and we ate four way-too-big and delicious meals, but I feel terribly fat. So to change that, this morning I decided I was going back to the gym, and also cleaned out my refrigerator and bought a bunch of healthy foods.
My roommates were gone for the weekend and, though I’m glad they are back, I did enjoy having the place to myself for a bit. It was nice walking around in only a sweatshirt and underwear for a few days. And I even got to watch some TV while sitting on the toilet in the bathroom with the door open. A rare opportunity, and man was it sweet. And since I wasn’t too busy, I cleaned the apartment all up and reorganized my bedroom. And, The best part about today was that I didn’t have to go into work, so I could schedule a whole day to finally getting writing done and bang out some new ideas.
Today was a great turning point for me, I think. A significant day where I decided important things about the way I was going to live my life. The cleaning, the gym, the healthy food, and the all around outlook that things were going to be different for old Ryan Rosenberg in the near future.
At the end of the day, lets look at my accomplishments towards this new way of life…
- I didn’t shower until 2 pm, and watched tv from the bathroom with the door open. Lazy.
- Didn’t even start working or look at my writing. Lazy.
- Watched Micheal Clayton, Knocked Up, Anchorman, and 2 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Useless.
- Bought a bunch of healthy food. (This one actually is an accomplishment.)
- Didn’t eat that healthy food, but instead ordered a pizza when Teddy got home. An all meat pizza.
Basically, everything chance I get, I prove to be the biggest loser of all time. And man does it feel good.
