Long story short, I’m getting a lion.
Growing up I always used to get those Zoobooks magazines. They used to have one buckwild issue per animal and each would have different pages showing bone structure, muscle make up, and even like natural habitats and ideal eco-systems. I used to geek out about this shit so much, way past the age I should have, and I probably still would if I reactivated my subscription. The magazine actually looks like they’ve gone a bit away from being the solid, well respected, informative publication they once were to a bit more of a cheap gimmicky kids rag. Hot colors and zainy graphics suck.
My two favorite editions were always years ahead of the others. The first; The Gorilla. Gorillas are so super dope that I still kind of get siked thinking about them. I used to love the muscle page for gorillas because they are, literally, made of muscle. I wanted one as a pet just to tell him to beat the shit out of the meanies on the block. My second favorite was the one on the Tiger/Lion. The issue was like a Jay-Z Linkin Park mash-up of animals, if Linkin Park wasn’t super wack. I’ve always had this internal struggle trying to decide which was cooler, TIGER or LION. Tigers got those sweet stripes and a Grrreat cereal, but the Lion does have the whole “king of the jungle” thing along with the fact that the dudes just chill and make the women hunt. To this day I still give it to Tigers but lions are nothing to sneeze at. The stripes are just too cool.
The dudes in this video are basically living out my childhood dreams. They have a Wild. Jungle. Animal. as a pet. What is cooler than that? This lion loves them, plays with them, and could kill your dog without thinking twice. Now I might do it differently (not super gay) but the bottom line here is, dudes raised a lion. And that is neat. I wish the song didn’t make me feel weird about liking the video, but it does. But remember content over style people. That’s what I keep telling myself.

you’re hilarious, I love you and read your blog!
